Traditionally, hot water bags or containers were made from rubber and filled up with hot water.

The bag or container also had a stopper at its mouth (to avoid spilling or leakage).

Hot water bags are basically pain relief aids that help alleviate any discomfort through the local application of heat.

A globally popular phenomenon, this form of heat therapy is extremely effective not just in terms of efficiency, but also when it comes to cost, size and user-

friendliness.

A nebulizer is a medical device that turns liquid medication into a mist or an aerosol so that it can be inhaled directly into the lungs through a face mask or a mouthpiece.

A nebulizer should be used at home only when prescribed by the doctor and after understanding the instructions clearly on how to use it. The medicine dosage and the frequency of use should be in accordance with your doctor’s prescription. Moreover, proper cleaning and maintenance of the device should be done regularly as per the instructions in the device manual.

It is essential to clean nebulizer and its accessories after every use and disinfect daily. If any liquid is left in the nebulizer and its parts, germs such as yeast, bacteria, and fungus can colonize and multiply. This poses a risk of infection to the patient undergoing nebulization. Cleaning after nebulization and daily disinfection of the nebulizer kills these germs and ensures future germ-free treatment to the patient.

Turn on the device. Open the clamp like device and place the right hand middle finger inside the device. A display is attached to the top of the device which shows the results for each reading. Wait for 5-10 seconds till the readings are stable. We recommend taking out the batteries when the product is not in use to ensure that there is no battery drain.

The normal oxygen saturation readings should show between 95% – 100% (SpO2). If the readings display below 92% (SpO2), you should immediately consult a doctor.

Pulse Oxygen levels can vary under different circumstances. BPL Pulse Oximeter is equipped with a four-direction display that shows results with a ±2% accuracy.

As per the studies, your right hand’s middle finger shows the best results. Make sure to take off any nail polish and avoid using on cold fingers as the readings may not show correctly.

Using a pulse oximeter can help you keep a check on the levels of oxygen saturation in your blood. Thus we all should keep the device at home and monitor regularly. If your readings are below the recommended level, seek immediate medical help.
